Postponement: GapSummit 2020

The GapSummit team has been closely monitoring the escalating situation with COVID-19. In consideration for the health and safety of all participants, as well as the quality of the event, we have made the difficult, but unavoidable decision to postpone GapSummit 2020. The new dates for the GapSummit 2020 are Monday 28th September – Wednesday 30th, 2020.

Bringing together 100 diverse Leaders of Tomorrow from around the world to network together, and engage with Leaders of Today, is the heart of the GapSummit and what makes our conference unique. The wide-spread global travel disruptions and health concerns have unfortunately compromised this core vision for now. The GapSummit team investigated all other options, including virtual ones, but given the rapidly evolving situation unfortunately postponement is now the only feasible option.

We deeply regret any inconvenience this will cause our participants. We truly appreciate the dedication our participants and supporters have shown towards the summit and hope for understanding for the reasons the GapSummit 2020 team have had to make this disappointing decision.

For any questions about the new arrangements, please contact Robert Hanson, GapSummit 2020 President, at [email protected]

This is a project our student-led team has been working on since September 2018. The COVID-19 outbreak is a testament to the gaps which still exist in our global bioeconomy, and the need for everyone, especially the next generation, to lead change in developing and implementing solutions. We are still committed to the GapSummit 2020 and look forward to delivering upon our vision and values later this year.
