Dr Natalie Pankova is the Chief Operating Officer at Metadvice, a digital health startup building artificial intelligence – driven clinical decision software to enable doctors and pharma executives combine the avalanche of newly available medical information into real time decision making. Dr Pankova holds a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, has worked as a scientist and executive in pharma, biotech and healthtech companies. She has led operations in drug discovery and development, health technology and machine learning, building novel technologies from the ground up, and understands the massive problems facing the healthcare landscape, the ways that technology is poised to challenge the status quo of these systems, and the complex journeys startups face in this space. She previously led healthcare efforts at the Government Blockchain Association in the UK, participated in technology initiatives within the Pharmaceutical Users Exchange Group (PhUSE), All-Party Parliamentary Groups at the UK Parliament, Research Data Alliance, and the British Standards Institute. She is a Digital Health Expert at the World Health Organization, an Associate Lecturer at Claude Littner Business School, and is on the Editorial Board of Frontiers in Blockchain Journal, as well as an Advisor and Mentor to early stage innovative startups.
